Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Reef app ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Reef is a scuba diving logbook application that allows you to log dives, track gear and certifications, view dive statistics, and store dive photos. The App operates offline-first, storing data locally on your device and syncing with cloud servers when internet is available.

3. Accounts

You may use Reef as a guest (anonymous account) or create an account using email/password, Apple Sign In, or Google Sign In. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Guest accounts have limited features — data is stored locally and may be lost if the app is deleted.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

Reef offers a free tier (up to 25 dives) and a paid "Reef Pro" subscription. Subscriptions are managed through Apple's App Store or Google Play:

• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google account at confirmation of purchase.
• You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your device's Settings > Subscriptions.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google according to their respective policies.

5. Your Content

You retain full ownership of all data you enter into Reef, including dive logs, photos, gear information, and certifications. We do not claim any rights to your content. You can export your data at any time via Settings > Sync & Data > Export.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App's servers or systems.
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's infrastructure.
• Use the App to transmit malicious code or harmful content.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

Important: Reef is a dive logging tool, not a safety device. Do not rely on the App for dive planning, safety calculations, or emergency situations. Always follow proper dive training and safety procedures.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Anton Usov shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the App.

9. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time via Settings > About > Delete Account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Austria. Any disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of Austria.
